Coco di Mama Kitchens - St Albans

Welcome to Coco di Mama Kitchens - St Albans, a unique culinary spot nestled in the heart of St Albans, located at 26 High St, St Albans AL3 4EL. This vibrant eatery aims to bring a taste of Italy to your table, offering a modern twist on traditional dishes designed for those who crave quality and convenience.

At Coco di Mama, the concept is straightforward yet appealing: fresh pasta and sauces delivered to your doorstep. This is not just takeaway; it’s a dining experience that can be enjoyed at home. The innovation lies in the stacking of sauce and toppings atop the pasta, ensuring that each bite is a harmonious blend of flavors when you are ready to dive in. This ensures that your meal stays hot and delicious, avoiding the soggy mess that often accompanies traditional deliveries.

However, based on recent customer feedback, it seems that experiences can vary:

  • Ed Boultwood praises the concept, recounting a recent post-Christmas family delivery that left everyone satisfied: "Hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked," is how he described his dishes.
  • On the flip side, E B had a troubling experience with food quality, linking a bout of illness directly to their order, suggesting it may have been caused by inadequate preparation.
  • K J and Anita echoed sentiments of disappointment, highlighting issues such as cold food, poor portion sizes, and a lack of sauce that detracted from the overall enjoyment of the meals.

Despite the contrasting reviews, what stands out is the potential that Coco di Mama Kitchens holds. The emphasis on fresh, quality ingredients and the creative approach to presentation is commendable. One must note that consistency is key; the promise of delivering exceptional dishes hinges on the kitchen staff maintaining high standards.

If you appreciate cooking that invites you to mix and match, Coco di Mama could be a delightful addition to your takeout options. Next time you're searching for a quality meal without the hassle of extensive cooking, consider giving Coco di Mama Kitchens - St Albans another shot. It could just be the culinary concept that resonates with your palate, provided the kitchen hits the mark consistently.

Needed a quick post Christmas family delivery, kitchen being replaced - excellent choice. Seems many people don't understand or have experienced this concept before, sauce and toppings are meant to be on the top and you mix or dive, otherwise it would be a soggy mess. different pots ordered, all devoured, hot - fresh and perfectly cooked, will be back!

So I ordered recently (on st of August) Grande Low and Slow Beef Ragu with pasta and Billionaire slice (cake). A small cup of pasta, I've had a bit of it and felt bit strange... A few hours later I was VERY SICK and since I've eaten nothing else it CANT BE anything else. There must be beef as you can't really get sick from pasta! I reckon you should improve your product quality and get a grip before you get a law suit by next sick customer!Very disappointed as me being sick ruined my weekend visiting the area and I was not able to move around and enjoy myself.I definitely won't be ordering again and to be honest after my experience I can't recommend them to anyone either.

Really disappointing. We’ve eaten from Coco di Mama before but our most recent order was very poor. It was badly cooked, cold and portions were rubbish for the price paid. I tried to seek replacement/resolution from Deliveroo but they basically ignored me. Shame really, as I was previously a regular customer and now won’t buy from here again.

Terrible. The dishes (mushroom and lamb ragu grande pasta) which totalled just under £ including delivery etc, wasnt mixed into the pasta and i guess it was so they could cheapen out on the toppings as there was hardly any sauce, mushrooms or pulled lamb. I enjoy the coco di mama by old street, shame this one based out of Zizzi is so bad time and time again! Ive given it three chances now..poor everytime!!
